The world is loud about who you “should” be, and it can slowly train you to think, feel, and even believe on command until your own life no longer feels like yours. We slow all of that down and turn inward, following a medicine woman and shamanic perspective on what it means to find balance and harmony within yourself so your life can change from the inside out. If you’ve been craving a more purposeful life that actually fits, this is a grounded place to start.
We explore the idea of internal counsel: the built-in set of advisors you were born with. Not just the intellect of the brain, but also the wisdom of the physical body and gut intuition, the intelligence of the heart and emotions, and the guidance of the soul and spirit. Using the four bodies of existence as a simple map, we talk about how to hear yourself more clearly and how to make decisions that feel aligned across mind, body, heart, and spirit. These themes connect directly to self knowledge, self empowerment, and self actualization, not as buzzwords but as lived practice.
We also spend time with Hózhǫ́, a Navajo concept described as a way of being: walking in balance with yourself and, in turn, walking in harmony with the world around you. The conversation lands on a powerful truth many of us recognize: living by other people’s rules can look “right” from the outside while feeling wrong on the inside. The answer is not perfection, it is authenticity and the courage to return to yourself.
If this resonates, subscribe for more conversations on inner guidance, mindfulness, and authentic living, share this with a friend who feels off course, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What part of your inner counsel do you want to listen to first?

Looking Within For Counsel
The Four Bodies Of Existence
Hózhǫ́ And Walking In Harmony
Choosing Authenticity Over Expectation
Invitation Back To Yourself
SpeakerWithin these pages, we will embark on a journey together to find balance and harmony within yourself, and in turn, find balance and harmony within your life. It is designed to help you consciously choose a more purposeful life that aligns with who you are and what you bring to the world, because when you change, the world around you cannot help but change too. In part one, we will be examining the internal world or the world within each of us. As a medicine woman, shaman, I find that people frequently look for good counsel in the external world, overlooking their own internal counsel, the set of counselors or advisors that was given to us at birth. Our internal counsel is made up of not just the intellect of the brain or the mind, which is our ability to reason and plan, but also the intellect of the physical body and our gut, which is related to our reflexes and sense of survival. The intellect of our heart and our emotions as well gives us the ability to resonate and connect with others. And finally, the intellect of our soul and our spirit is an unseen dynamic force that connects and guides our life. The first part of this book is to help you to connect with these four aspects of your internal counsel, teaching you how to understand what it is telling you, how to hear yourself. The model we will be working with is the concept of the four bodies of existence the physical body, gut, the emotional body, heart, the mental body, brain, and the spiritual body soul. If we view each of these bodies as a part of our internal counsel, we can tap into a truly enormous intellect that each of us holds within ourselves. We will begin this journey together in order to discover who we are ultimately self knowledge. We will also discover a deeper awakening within ourselves, self empowerment, and understand how to come home to ourselves as we were created to be self actualization. Ultimately, the purpose of this journey is to find harmony within ourselves, a concept that is known in the Navajo language as Hózhǫ́ pronounced Ho Shone. Hózhǫ́ is a way of being. It is the ability to walk in balance with oneself and in turn the ability to walk in harmony with the world around us. It gives us the ability to move through this world in a beautiful way. In the chapters that follow I will provide examples of what this looks like in practice. In a world that constantly tells you who you should be, wouldn't it be empowering to show up as your authentic self? Throughout my life, I have behaved as they told me to behave, but it didn't feel like me. I have thought what they wanted me to think, but it didn't feel like me. I felt the way they wanted me to feel, but it didn't feel like me. I believed what they asked me to believe in, but it didn't feel like me. It is time to feel like me. And because I have walked this path, I invite you now to go with me on this incredible journey back to yourself, just as I have found myself.
